Reading update: I’m separated from my TBR!

So I took an early Thanksgiving break and came back home a little early. Now, I’m unexpectedly staying longer than I initially planned to. The issue? I only brought two books with me. And I just finished reading one of them. I just didn’t have the space in my carry ons to bring more books because I had to bring my law books, notebooks, and laptop to study. I had no room.

Now I’m left with the other book I brought and a book that accidentally got mailed here to my old address. The rest of my 60+ TBR books got left behind. There were some books on there that I really wanted to start reading soon. I also left behind my other currently reading book.

Now I’m in a dilemma of what to do after I finish these two books. Should I buy more books? Start an e-book? (I’m really terrible at reading those but maybe my desperation can change that) Or just wait until I get back?

Only time will tell! Stay tuned to see how this tragedy ends.

Blogging/life update: I’m halfway done with moving!

Hello everyone!

As you can see, I haven’t posted anything since the end of June. That’s because I finished part 1 of my move. Part 1 consisted of moving the big items like furniture and half of my books. Part 2 will be the rest of my stuff like clothes, makeup, (and more books!). The move is going well but the toughest part by far has been deciding what books to bring with me. I unfortunately don’t have the space to bring all my books, so I’m only bringing about half with me. The rest will be staying here at my parents’ house. It is so tough deciding what books I want to take because I have no idea what books I might want to reference later on. The struggle is very real.

The mess that is my bookshelf back at home. Currently deciding which books to pack.

As you probably can guess this will be a relatively quiet month here on my blog. I should have a few reviews up this month but not as much as I typically would post. I literally didn’t have time to read at all last week. I am currently reading Sweet Black Waves Kristina Perez (which I  started reading before I moved) and Anna Undreaming by Thomas Welsh. I’m hoping to finish both these books and start two more books by the end of this week.

That’s it for now! I will keep you guys updated on my moving progress. And if you would like to help out a soon-to-be law school student, please consider buying me a coffee via this link.

Currently Reading Book Tag

I was tagged by Audra over at Audra’s Book Blabbing to do the Currently Reading book tag. Thank you so much for the tag! To check out her post, click here.

1. How many books do you usually read at once?

I usually only read one book at a time. I really hate reading multiple books at a time, but I will do it on occasion, especially if I have to read a book for school.

2. If you’re reading more than one book at a time, how do you decide when to switch books?

When my mood changes and I want something different to read or if I feel like I haven’t picked up the second book in a while. Usually it’s the latter.

3. Do you ever switch bookmarks while you’re partway through a book?

Honestly no. I have never even thought of doing that actually. I’ve been using the same book mark for like 6 years now. Lol.

4. Where do you keep the book(s) you’re currently reading?

On my night stand for easy access.

5. What time of day do you spend the most time reading?

I try to read for an hour before bed, so usually at night. However, I do read quite a bit during the day when I’m not busy. So pretty much any time of day.

6. How long do you typically read in one sitting?

30 minutes but I’m really not too sure. I take a lot of breaks when I read. Or I’ll read a few pages here and there. It’s tough to gauge.

7. Do you read hardbacks with the dust jacket on or off?

Typically on, but if it is getting damaged then I will take it off.

8. What position do you mainly use to read?

All of them! Lol. I’ll read lying down, sitting, lounging on my chair, etc.

9. Do you take the book you’re currently reading with you everywhere you go?

Not everywhere. When I was in school I would bring it with me, but other than that my books usually stay at home.

10. How often do you update your Goodreads progress on the book you’re currently reading?

I used to update it obsessively, but now I only do it once every few days.

I tag…

Like with my previous tag post, I’m not going to directly tag anyone. If you want to do this super fast and fun tag, go for it!

Thanks for reading!
