Spring Cleaning Book Tag

I was tagged by Crystal at Paper Royalty to do the spring cleaning book tag. Thank you so much for tagging me! I love doing tags. You can check out her post here.

The struggle of getting started: a book or series you struggle to begin because of its size

Lunar Chronicles Collage - Final

The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer. I really want to read this series but there are quite a few books and the last one is massive.

Cleaning out the closet: a book or series you want to unhaul

I actually unhauled books for the first time a few days ago. If you want to hear more about it click here.

Opening windows and letting fresh air in: a book that was refreshing

32187419

Conversations with Friends by Sally Rooney. It totally could have became a cliche since the premise is a young woman having an affair with a married man, but luckily it didn’t. It felt real.

Washing out the sheet stains: a book with a scene you wish you could rewrite

I would rewrite Laurie and Amy getting together in Little Women. I don’t like them together. Amy should have ended up with anyone but Laurie. Wait scratch that, I’d rewrite Anna and the French Kiss to eliminate the unnecessary love triangle between Etienne, Ellie, and Anna. Etienne and Ellie should have split early on in the book.

Throwing out unnecessary knickknacks: a book in a series you didn’t think was necessary

I don’t read that many series to begin with, so that’s hard to answer. I really can’t say. But in general, I find that novellas in series are unnecessary.

Polishing doorknobs: a book that had a clean finish

38889730

Spotlight by Jacqueline E. Smith. Like I mentioned in my review of it, it wrapped up the storylines perfectly. I was a happy camper after reading it.

Reaching to dust the fan: a book that tried too hard to relay a certain message

39006052

the witch doesn’t burn in this one by Amanda Lovelace. I liked this book but it didn’t have the ease of the first one, so it ended up being repetitive and didn’t live up to its full potential. Some of the poems did feel a little forced.

The tiring yet satisfying finish of spring cleaning: a book series that was tiring but satisfying to get through

The_ACOTAR_series

The ACOTAR series. ACOMAF and ACOWAR were long and took me about a month to read each one. But they were oh so good!

I tag…

Thanks for reading!

xoxo,

Jessica
